It was in the year 2011 when Cameron Diaz opened up about her Cuban heritage. Her family is Cuban from her father’s side. Her ancestors lived in the historic Ybor City. It was where they began to work as cigar rollers. Diaz still has those relics from the early days of her family, including cigar presses and choppers. Cameron seems grateful and proud of how she grew up close to her Cuban culture and heritage. She even admits to not learning Spanish.

 2. Jessica Alba

We’ve never seen her getting shy about her Latin heritage. She has always felt a very deep connection to her Mexican-American heritage. She is proud of her roots and wants her girls to embrace Latino roots too. 

3. Bruno Mars

This famous American singer is the son of a half-Jewish, half-Puerto Rican father and a Filipino mother. He grew up in Hawaii and thus had Latino roots. However, he said he never thought of race or where he belonged. Everyone, in one way, is mixed in culture. 

4. Oscar Isaac

The Latino heritage of Oscar Isaac influences his character in the new Star Wars sequel trilogy. In an interview, he also stated that he was born in Guatemala. However, Issac’s father is Cuban. 

5. Christina Aguilera

During a show in Las Vegas, Christina made an exciting announcement. She explained not to forget about her Latin album, which is releasing soon. It was her second album which was in the Spanish language. The first one has already earned Christina a Latin Grammy Award in 2001. But, according to her, she doesn’t speak the language fluently. She is half-Irish and half-Ecuadorian. 

6. Ryan Lochte

We’ve often seen this world record holder Olympic medalist on social media with an American flag wrapped around him. He has won 12 Olympic medals, and Ryan is the son of a first-generation immigrant. His mother moved to the US from Cuba, and he grew up with many Cuban traditions. During holidays and festivals, he always enjoyed Latino meals.

7. Charlie Sheen

Charlie’s name has been flashing across the screens since he was nine. He has done over 50 television and movie series. But most of his fans don’t know his real name. He was born as Carlos Irwin Estevez. Charlie’s grandfather immigrated to the US from the Galicia region of northern Spain. 

8. Aubrey Plaza

Even though Plaza has not always been in the spotlight, she rose to fame after her role in Parks and Recreation. In a magazine interview, the actress said she felt embarrassed while accepting the award mainly because she was only half-Latina. Aubrey’s father is Puerto Rican. As a result, she has always felt connected to the Latino roots of her family.

California native Sara Paxton began her career in acting at age eight. During an interview, her answer to the question about even after being a daughter of a Mexican mother, she still hasn’t played a Latina on screen was that she tried to give a few auditions. 

10. Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi

Her nickname is ‘Snooki know Nicole Polizzi.’ She became famous after appearing on a reality show called Jersey Shore. Her parents are Italian-American, and she had an upbringing in an Italian-American household. An adopted child, she was six months old when her parents brought her in from Santiago, Chile.
