Points that make this a staple for Fall
Graphics
The illustrations are so pretty! The color pallet is one of the most beautiful that I’ve seen. It tells you the autumn feel with the right shades of browns, reds, oranges, and more! Even the background is paid much attention, which I appreciate!
The humor
Even though the story is only about a day, Many scenes are filled with smart humor. Not even YA, but adults would get like and laugh at it!
The story
I think we need more books, especially graphic novels that are centered towards the Fall season. The creators indeed present us with a one-evening story but very cleverly add all the things people love about Fall. These include Corn Maize, Caramel Apples, Pies, Pumpkinheads, and many more pretty aesthetics.
Last Word
Pumpkinheads has been my go-to graphic novel for every fall since I first read it. It is cozy and cute and hits you with just enough warmth.
