Lovely Premise
A man comes up to our witch lead, Jess, that there’s a danger coming to her town! They now have to work with each other to save their town! I mean, it sounds like a treat for us spooky romance lovers.
Small Town Romance
The side characters are so humorous! I loved their stories! They all provided comic relief to the newly released book, and I wish there were more of their scenes
Start of chapters
We get a part of the snippet from the codex of witches and the witch journal at the initial stage. I think this added extra information on the witches, which makes us more connected with the witches of the West Harbour and how they operate.
Things that made me hold back stars:
More Magic
I just wanted to experience a big battle where the good and bad fight with all of their strengths and magic. That didn’t fully happen. So, kind of bummed about that.
The Romance
As much as I loved the Male Lead, Derek (he is such a sweet and caring person), I think Jane and Derek jumped into their relationship quite fast. Give us a reader more chemistry so that we want to ship instantly.
